Banned Camp: Celebrating the Freedom to Read

In this special crossover episode of Good News for Lefties and the Banned Camp podcast, host Beowulf Rochlen joins Dan and Jen to discuss the vital topic of book banning and the upcoming Banned Books Week. The American Library Association has announced this year's theme, "Let Books Be: Protect the Freedom to Read," which will take place from October 4th to 10th.

Together, they celebrate the importance of access to literature and the freedom to read, while also introducing the exciting Bookshelf Initiative, where a collection of banned books will be donated to a lucky winner. Beowulf emphasizes the need to unite against the small group of individuals attempting to limit reading choices for children, highlighting the ALA's efforts to defend librarians nationwide.
