Banned Camp: Celebrating Librarian Victories and the Fight Against Book Banning

In this special crossover episode of Good News for Lefties and the Banned Camp podcast, host Beowulf Rochlen joins Dan and Jen for a lively discussion on the latest in book banning and the fight for free speech in libraries. This week, we celebrate a significant victory for librarian Patty Hector, who received a $275,000 settlement after being unjustly fired for defending the right to access books in her community. We delve into the implications of her case on the ongoing battle against censorship and the importance of upholding professional standards in libraries.

Join us as we navigate the complexities of local governance and the financial repercussions of political decisions, all while sharing a few laughs along the way. Plus, don't miss the unique theme song dedicated to Beowulf, and the occasional comedic impressions that add a fun twist to our serious discussions.
